City Council approves TIF to promote development in the innovation district area

• The council approved tax increment financing to promote development in the area anchored by the Oklahoma Health Center east of downtown. No one spoke at a public hearing on the new tax incentives for the Innovation District. Planners anticipate an estimated $400 million in new public and private investment and creation of about 1,500 jobs.
